The trailside project at Lac des Plages is all about connecting with the people around you and the outdoors.


Lac des Plages was a renowned tourist center until the early 2000’s. For the beauty of it’s lake and it fabulous beaches. The village had a major hotel and multiple trail networks for snowmobiling, ATV’s and cyclist run through Lac des Plages because of the landmark hotel and its capacity to lodge and feed the travellers.


The hotel burnt down in 2009 and the little village started to fade away as a new highway was built and removed the traffic from the main road.


The municipality bought 143 acres of mountain land to build trails for its residents and promote eco-tourism. 


With access to 100 feet of private beach, over 10km of hiking and mountain biking trails, 5 acres of private land. The trailside project with its church development is looking to become the epicentre of this re-birth.


The property is at the centre of the village, on the same property of the village kid’s park and the outdoor rink / basketball courts.


Trailside also recommend using Lac des Plages as the launchpad to visit the everything that within 1 hr.


It is impossible to miss Mount-Tremblant with its ski hill, restaurants and golf courses to Montebello who has re-developed mountain bike trails that existed in the early 1990’s.

TEMPERATURES

Daily winter temperatures can range from -5°C to -20°C. In the summer, they range from the mid-teens to 30°C. Depending on your location, you may be well protected by trees. 

SNOWFALL

In the upper regions of of the park, we receive an average of about 1050 mm of snow per year. In the lower regions, the average is about 850 mm per year.

RAINFALL

Prepare yourself for rain if you are coming in the summertime, as it generally rains every few days, and usually for several hours at a time. The winds can be strong, too, so come prepared.
